What’s Truly for Me

Sometimes we spend so much time wondering whether something is meant for us that we forget to ask how it makes us feel. The right people, places, and opportunities may not always be perfect, but they shouldn’t constantly leave you anxious, confused, or questioning your worth. There is a difference between something challenging you to grow and something continuously making you feel like you have to fight just to be valued.

I’m learning that what is meant for me doesn’t require me to abandon myself to keep it. I shouldn’t have to beg for clarity, chase consistency, or constantly wonder where I stand. The things that are right for me should allow me to breathe. They should bring a sense of peace, not make me feel like I’m always trying to prove that I deserve a place in someone’s life.

And sometimes, the hardest part is accepting that something you desperately wanted may not have been meant to stay. Some things leave because they were never supposed to become permanent. Some doors close because staying behind them would have kept you from becoming the person you were supposed to be. What feels like rejection today may eventually make perfect sense when you see where life takes you next.

I’m slowly learning to trust that timing. To stop forcing what feels forced. To stop chasing what keeps running away. To stop convincing myself that confusion is just another form of love or that struggle automatically means something is worth fighting for.

Maybe what is truly for me won’t make me question whether I deserve it.

Maybe it will simply feel like peace finally finding its way home.
